One of the most important things you do as a Group Leader in the days, weeks and months leading up to your EF Explore America tour is stay in touch with your students and their parents. You keep them updated, you send reminders, you get them excited for the trip. Well there’s an app for that—it’s called Remind.

Remind lets you easily message a group of students and parents all at once. It’s simple to use, safe, and gets the word out. Students and parents sign up to receive your reminders, and then they get your messages as texts or emails. You can even attach files, like photos, PDFs and more. Plus, Remind is private—you never see the students’ phone numbers and they never see yours.

Our tour consultants have been hearing great things about the app from teachers who already use it to help manage their student trips. They use Remind to send out:

  • meeting reminders (“Meeting starts in 20 minutes in the library!”)
  • enrollment updates (“We just got 10 more enrollments for the New York trip; make sure you save your spot!”)
  • payment notices for parents (“Just a reminder: the final payment is due this Thursday!”)
  • and other fun messages to keep the kids looking forward to the trip (“Don’t forget to pack a bathing suit for Florida—we’re swimming with dolphins!”).

In fact, Remind recently blogged about student tours and outlined all kinds of great ways teachers can put the app to use.

And yes, Remind is FREE. Download it today to try it out!
